Melbourne, Florida – June 16, 2006 - On Thursday, June 15, 2006 Palm Beach’s newest hometown basketball team, the PALM BEACH IMPERIALS, brought home another victory in their 2nd Exhibition Game against the Brevard Blue Ducks, a USBL franchise celebrating their 5th anniversary season.

To show appreciation for their fans during their 5th anniversary season, the Brevard Blue Ducks hand out free tickets after every loss. To date the Blue Ducks have handed out free tickets twice, both at the hands of the Imperials.

The players participating on both comprise former NCAA Division-I and II players including players from local area universities and colleges.

Lamont Carr, Head Coach and General Manager of the Palm Beach Imperials told the players before the game, “…play your best, win or lose, and just have fun.”

Once tip-off began, the Blue Ducks jumped off to an early 18-6 lead against the Imperials.

After the initial run, the game became a see-saw battle with the Blue Ducks closely maintaining their lead for the first three quarters.

The Imperials came out in the 4th quarter determined to drive home with their heads up high.

First Coach Carr instituted a full-court press that the Blue Ducks could not break.

Next, Bobby St. Preux found the stroke hitting 4 of 5 from the three point line.

Then Lamar Moore, who played only a few minutes during the first 3 quarters, came in with 6 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter firing, scoring 13 points in the final half of the quarter. Carl Jenkins also contributed by leading the team in rebounds with 13.

The Imperials actually held the Ducks to 18 points in the 4th and the Imperials scored 43 to close the game out to a 115- 103 win.

The Palm Beach Imperials are currently owned and operated by the Imperiali Organization (www.imperiali.org).
