Network with DIGITUS® PowerLine over several floors independently from the power supply system

DIGITUS® PowerLine products can also be used for the internet connection of video games consoles and set top boxes for digital television in the same way as computer networking.
The basic component for a Powerline connection is the DIGITUS® High-speed PowerLine Ethernet Adapter DN-15019. It enables network and devices to be connected to the power mains via Ethernet (RJ-45).
The compact construction ensures that the adapters are no bigger than a mains plug. An integrated encoding procedure guarantees eavesdropping security.
The DIGITUS® PowerLine Router DN-15017 supports ranges of approx. 200 meters through rooms and over floors. The router is equipped with a 3-Port Fast Ethernet-Switch. A web browser is used for comfortable device configuration.
The "PowerLine 300N Extender" DN-15018 acts as a wireless LAN access point and a PowerLine 300N ExtenderDN-15018 to combine two devices at the same time: a 300Mbps Wireless LAN Access Point and a 200Mbps PowerLine Adapter. This device can be used to convert each socket in the building into a wireless network and internet access.
Extension of the Wireless LAN networks by the integrated WDS repeater modus offers the highest security thanks to the support for all the usual encoding procedures. 128-bit encoding in the power mains circuit provides a secure connection, simply at the touch of a button.
The extender DN-16018 complies with the 802.11n draft 2.0 standard and is compatible up to the IEEE 802.11g/b standards. Configuration takes place via the web interface.
DIGITUS® PowerLine network DN-15019-1 network bridges also offer the opportunity of using existing coaxial cable (television connection cable, for example) for the domestic network if other runs have to be overcome and the domestic mains power circuit consists of not just one mains power circuit but several. The integrated encoding procedure guarantees eavesdropping security, just like all other DIGITUS® PowerLine products.
