SteelEye Technology Completes Merger with Japanese Open Source Leader Ten Art-ni Corporation

PALO ALTO, CA and TOKYO, JAPAN — May 31, 2006 — SteelEye Technology, Inc., the award-winning provider of software solutions for business continuity and disaster recovery on Linux and Windows, today announced that it has signed an agreement to merge with and become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japanese business partner, Ten Art-ni, a Tokyo-based, publicly-traded (Tokyo Stock Exchange: TSE 3744) product and integration specialist.

Ten Art-ni is recognized throughout Japan as a leader in support and deployment of Linux and web application business solutions and is a five year business partner of SteelEye.

By merging their technical expertise, financial resources, business processes and partner relationships, Ten Art-ni and SteelEye will be positioned to better serve their customers, resellers and development partners and to grow the multi-national company into a global software and services leader.

SteelEye and Ten Art-ni will leverage their combined resources to deliver support for LifeKeeper solutions and to accelerate the development of expanded data and application protection product offerings on both Linux and Windows.

To be known as SteelEye in Europe and the Americas and as Ten Art-ni throughout Asia, the company has 220 employees and locations in Palo Alto CA (North American headquarters), Columbia SC (R&D), Raleigh NC (R&D), Cambridge UK (European headquarters) and Tokyo Japan (Asia and World headquarters).
