Press release from: Boinx Software

Munich, Germany - May 18th, 2006. Boinx FotoMagico 1.6 is a real treat for professional photographers. In the latest release of the award-winning slideshow creation tool for Mac OS X, ColorSync makes sure that the photos stay the color they were meant to be, new transitions add more style to presentations and exporting has been made easier and smoother than ever with better looking results.

Create what you want

"With this release, we have focused on taking the pain out of producing movies and DVDs from your slideshows," says Oliver Breidenbach of Boinx Software. "A photographer should not have to become an expert on video formats in order to create a simple DVD." In FotoMagico 1.6, the workflow has been optimised to guide the users toward a goal they want to achieve. Simply choose if you want to create a movie for the web, the iPod or a DVD and FotoMagico will make sure that all the settings in your slideshow make sense. Exporting also is now much faster and yields better looking results.

ColorSync

"I've always considered ColorSync to be one of the great things on the Mac platform," says Peter Baumgartner, lead developer of FotoMagico. The Apple technology makes sure that colors look the same across a wide range of output devices. To achieve this, pictures have a profile of the color properties of the camera or scanner embedded with which the picture was taken. FotoMagico recognises and uses these profiles when drawing the picture to the screen or exporting to a movie.

New transitions

The new transitions "Shuffle" and "Topple" complement the 12 top quality transitions at your service in FotoMagico. Transitions in FotoMagico stand out because they work at the full resolution of the presentation screen and pan, zoom and rotation do not stop during transition.

Availablity and Pricing

Boinx FotoMagico 1.6 is available for download immediately as a Universal Application from the website http://www.fotomagico.com. The update is free for all current owners of a valid FotoMagico license. New license keys are for sale via Kagi for US $79. A five day demo license for evaluation can be requested at the website.
