NEW: Sealed PICMA® Actuators
Two versions of the PICMA® piezo actuator (5x5x18 mm): Conventional multilayer actuator and with stainless steel casing for a hermetic seal and additional moisture protection
PIC now offers PICMA® multilayer piezo actuators in a version with stainless steel casing. The casing is hermetically sealed and filled with an inert gas. The piezo actuators are thus outstanding for applications where room humidity is high, for example, and are even splash-proof. The external dimensions for a 5x5x18 mm piezo ceramic are a mere 22.7 mm in height and 11.2 mm in diameter. They can be mounted simply by clamping or adhesive bonding, electrical contact is made via solder pins which protrude from the casing.
PIC has been developing and producing piezoceramic materials and components for standard and OEM solutions since 1992: Piezo components, ultrasonic transducers, actuators and system solutions. PI Ceramic, a subsidiary of Physik Instrumente (PI) GmbH & Co. KG, has its headquarters in Lederhose, Thuringia/Germany.
