New analysis of the original Loch-Ness monster photo shows sceptic were wrong

12-29-2017 08:14 AM CET | Science & Education

Press release from: Engineering Adventures

One of the most famous photos of the creature in Loch Ness has been re-analysed using the latest high definition techniques. The photograph, by Peter OConnor, was originally classified as the first true image, however, this was later questioned by one expert who claimed to have found crude model making materials near the spot where the photo was taken.
The photograph was withdrawn from scrutiny after more claims that it had been ‘touched up’, but recently the photograph has been re-investigated using the modern analysis equipment. The results are surprising and clearly show the sceptics were wrong.
Personal insights into how the photo was taken and what this analysis has shown, are fascinating and can be found at www.phonedancing.com/lock_ness_creature_exposed1.html

Gary Molton, the author, was Peter OConnor, the photographer’s, son-in-law.
