Sensor Signal Conditioner (SSC) ICs Market Technological

SSC Integrated Circuits (ICs) and sensor communication ICs act as an interface between sensor element (temperature sensor, optical sensors and other sensors) and remote data collection point. SSC ICs accepts analog signal from the external sensors and amplifies the signal and converting it into digital signal through an analog-to-digital (ADC) converter and sends it to sensor communication ICs.

The communication ICs then forward the digital signal to remote data collection point for monitoring and control of the signal. SSC ICs have in-built non-volatile memory storage.

In automotive sector, SSC ICs are used in advanced driver assisted system (ADAS), measurement of vehicle acceleration among others. Rising demand for ADAS system such as advanced braking systems (Anti-Lock Braking System), steering systems, airbag, etc. will increase the demand for SSC ICs.

Automotive industry is developing partnership with SSC IC markets to increase semiconductor usage in cars which will alternatively increase the demand for application market of SSC ICs. SSC ICs have low power which increases battery life of consumer wearable devices.
