ECOMONDO Italy at IFAT CHINA again in 2006

After its successful participation in the year 2004, ECOMONDO Italy is again organising a large country pavilion at IFAT CHINA 2006. China’s 2nd International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection takes place on 27 - 30 June 2006 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in China.

The environmental fair ECOMONDO is organised in Italy by Rimini Fiera. Its profitable cooperation with IFAT CHINA is to be continued this year. “The further participation of ECOMONDO and the other pavilions from Great Britain, Switzerland, the USA and of course Germany concentrates the ecological competence of these markets in one place at the same time, thus facilitating a purposeful exchange of expertise and new business contacts”, says Eugen Egetenmeir, member of the managing board of Messe München.

ECOMONDO will be presenting a broad range of products in Shanghai: from water supply and treatment to waste disposal and recycling, technology for emission reduction as well as noise monitoring, energy from renewable sources and soil decontamination right down to research and services in the environmental sector.

Italy already has some important projects running with China in the ecological area such as the Italian-Chinese eco pavilion at the heart of Tsinghua University (Peking) – the pavilion was constructed to include state-of-the-art technologies – as well as the use of hydrogen in power generation and in public transport in view of Expo 2010.
“This second fair”, declares Lorenzo Cagnoni, Chairman of Rimini Fiera, “strengthens and intensifies our relations with our German colleagues, who organise the world’s most important trade fair for waste disposal and the environment every three years.”

About IFAT CHINA
The 2nd International Trade Fair for Environmental Protection, will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) in China from June 27 to 30, 2006. IFAT CHINA is a comprehensive trade fair for practical solutions in the areas of water supply, sewage treatment, waste disposal, recycling, air pollution control, environmental technology and more environmentally compatible energy in Asia. The trade fair is international in character and is accompanied by a supporting program for the trade. IFAT CHINA 2004 recorded 252 exhibitors from 17 countries and approx. 9,500 visitors from 69 countries.
