German Metal trio do it again with an EP

Andromeda Zoo release “The Stonewashed EP“, out on December 8th, 2017, following their debut album

The EP contains three brand-new songs, which will be released exclusively and only via digital media by the German record label 7hard. Since the band’s self-called and highly recommended debut from 2016, the sound of the band considerably enhanced and so on the current output the trio from Palatinate presents itself a lot fresher, enthusiastic, unsettled and even more self-assured. The title of the EP “stonewashed“ already describes it: washed off, scuffed, grinded down.

Andromeda Zoo stuck to their headstrong, earthy style, although they feature some specific musical surprises. However strong guitar-riffs with a grip, stomping beats and catchy melodies with a high recognition value remain the band’s musical concept, even though obviously and clearly matured. The lyrics deal with themes like greed and obsession (The Riddle Of Gold), far-reaching friendships (Dinghy) und manic, dark seductions (Red Scythe Magnetism), cleverly packed in stories, metaphors and symbols.

The music was recorded, produced and mixed in the recording studio of a good friend of the band, Joe Pomponio, who features his first output. Mastered by Thomas Mrochen from Pforzheim, who already was responsible for the band’s last year’s debut. The present EP can be regarded as a connecting link between the first album and the next long-play output of the band, which will be expectedly estimated in 2018, latest 2019.

Those, who already liked the debut album, will surely love The Stonewashed EP and with Andromeda Zoo getting a band, who does not lose itself in the fast-pace of these musical times, but drives a straight line and knows exactly, where the abilities are and what it wants: confident songs with fresh ideas, catchy melodies and an enormous bandwidth.
