The PSS Positioning Solution System developed by PSI Technics is an innovative industrial positioning system and the only system in the world that can convert and read the parameters of existing Trimble positioning systems.
PSI Technics' PSS Positioning Solution System is an innovative solution for industrial positioning applications. In fully automated high-bay warehouses, for example, the PSS instructs stacker cranes to move to the storage position's target coordinates to ensure that all storage and retrieval operations are carried out with high accuracy in the shortest amount of time.
One particular advantage of the PSS Positioning Solution System lies in process optimization. The system calculates travel profiles for the required travel distance, placing particular emphasis on maximum speed and acceleration. The travel profiles are continuously optimized to ensure that all movements are completed safely and in the shortest possible time. The PSS calculates travel profiles that do not include creeping speed; they only generate linear speed and acceleration ramps, irrespective of the load, which significantly reduces storage and retrieval times.
The PSS system is equipped with powerful, reliable and cost-effective hardware and easy-to-use software that does not require any programming skills or control engineering expertise. The perfectly coordinated hardware and software and the modular system design allow for fast and easy service and replacement of spare parts.
In addition to the PSS Positioning Solution System, PSI Technics provides solutions that increase productivity and reduce operating costs, such as the MA6000MC Motion Analyzer, the Thermo Protection Cooling Case (TPCC), and the Energy Optimizing System (EOS). The MA6000MC Motion Analyzer software is available as an add-on for the PSS. It reduces operating costs by optimizing system performance, while maintaining a consistent throughput. The award-winning Thermo Protection Cooling Case (TPCC) is a completely new industrial enclosure designed to protect temperature-sensitive optical sensors from high temperatures and radiant heat, significantly prolonging the life span of sensitive sensor technology. The optional Energy Optimizing System reduces energy costs by up to 15%.
