Open day at the iX-factory GmbH – A successful Meeting

Dortmund, 26th May 2009 – iX-factory invited guests from industry, research and development and public administration for a festive open day. Numerous guests honoured iX-factory at their premises in the competence centre at MST.factory at Phoenix West in Dortmund, Germany.
Bright sunshine supported the event, organized in an open ambience with the at-mosphere of a summer festival. The guests had excellent possibilities to get to know the team, the location and the services offered, in form of production samples manufactured by iX-factory. The broad range of fields the guests represented, gave all the opportunity to gain valuable and foremost new contacts.
Speakers from economy and science as well as Dominique Bouwes, CEO of iX-factory GmbH delivered interesting and appealing lectures on various subjects –Dortmund as locations for micro- and nanotechnology (Dr. Heiko Kopf, CEO MST.factory Dortmund), factors for the success of the establishment and growth of start-ups in times of economical turmoil (Jörg Dannenberg, Government Department Promotion of Trade and Industry, Dortmund), marketing strategies for high-tech industries in economically difficult times (Dr. Uwe Kleinkes, CEO IVAM) and technical subjects about micro reactors (Hugo Delissen, Chemtrix B.V., The Netherlands) and MEMS Scanning Mirrors (Yaron Fein, bTendo Ltd.; Israel). After the presentations guests had the opportunity to compare notes and exchange and discuss ideas and arguments.
Several projects, developed and manufactured with customer oriented services of iX-factory GmbH were on display and could be examined by the guests. Chemtrix B.V. presented the application of micro mixers in their Labtrix ®-System. The company bTendo Ltd. displayed the application of MEMS Scanning Mirrors in various products.
The feedback of the guests was overwhelmingly positive; the summery relaxed at-mosphere, the inspiring conversations and the very informative presentations found general approval.
