Average Altcoin Token DowCoin: ICO Starting on November 10

Bitcoin is at an all-time high, the Ether rally is in full swing, and new cryptocurrencies quickly gather large followings of enthusiastic speculators. However, for the ordinary investor, putting faith into cryptocurrencies is still largely out of the question. The volatility of practically all cryptocurrencies is high enough to discourage their inclusion in more conservative portfolios. All of this led the founders of DowCoin to develop a solution that offers the benefits of investing in cryptocurrencies without the pitfalls: A token representing the average of the top 30 altcoins. DowCoin will now open its initial coin offering (ICO) for investors on November 10.

Recently, the market capitalization of all altcoins (cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin) is approaching 50%, showing the increasing significance of altcoins in the market. However, there are now more than 1,200 altcoins, and not all of them will keep their promises. To enable investors to partake in the development of only the best altcoins, DowCoin will build an index of coins that have been on the market for at least six months, and among the top 100 coins in the market cap for at least 90 consecutive days. Hence, the coins in the index will vary over time, and DowCoin will – in addition to its function as an index fund – act as a market maker, bringing stability to a volatile market place.

The DowCoin trading platform will be based on Ethereum, and its tokens will be ERC-20 compatible. DowCoin will offer a secure, usable and stable interface, which will position the platform at the core of the effort to encourage the standard adoption of the Ethereum network in the financial world. Thus, investors will be at the forefront of the future of the financial industry and can expect large returns.

Funds raised in DowCoin’s ICO will be utilized to develop the platform and market it to the crypto community and interested investors. Furthermore, data gathered through movements and transactions on the index will be harnessed to reach novel and valuable insights about the future of the financial markets and investment opportunities.

DowCoin’s ICO will run from November 10 to December 10. Total DowCoin distribution will be 2,000,000,000 tokens, with 60% reserved for the crowdsale, 25% for management and 15% for the team. Minimum and maximum ICO goals are 15,000,000 and 120,000,000 tokens, respectively.
