Women Veteran’s Group Receives Grant
Final Salute is the local grantee in the JLF Chasing Second Chances program, which makes grants to local charities along the NASCAR circuit. This generous grant ensures that Final Salute can continue its mission to bring awareness to the often-hidden and underreported problem of homelessness among women veterans, to provide financial assistance during housing transition, and to support the aspirations of women veterans to live proudly and independently.
Maj. Jas Boothe, a disabled Army veteran and cancer survivor has dedicated her career to helping homeless women veterans, founded Final Salute Inc. in 2010 to identify and meet the unique needs of homeless women veterans. She is currently on full-time duty with the Army National Guard.
