EC21.com Brings Value-Added Services to Online B2B E-Commerce
Seoul, Korea, May 13, 2009 – EC21.com, the world's leading business-to-business (B2B) marketplace for global buyers and sellers, has recently announced that the website has substantially improved the quality of online services. The improvements include the expandability of product category, the introduction of the new product attributes feature, and website renewal with new services added.Starting from April, 28th of 2009, a number of product categories have been increased to 43 from 13, and over 4,000 new product sub-categories have been added into the existing 1,178 sub-categories. This major upgrade will provide the ability to quickly and effectively locate the best products on the market across a wide range of categories to the EC21 members.
"Sellers are now able to locate their products in more segmented product categories and they may expect to get faster responses from buyers", said Tae-Sung Kim, the executive vice president of EC21.
Product Attributes, a newly added feature to EC21, will help buyers narrow the search for a specific product by taking a broad category like digital camera, which has hundreds of choices, and asking buyers to choose criteria (i.e. pixel, resolution, and color) according to importance. The introduction of the new Product Attributes feature is currently defined for products only, but will be definable for selling leads in the near future.
"This new feature will allow buyers to refine searches and deliver them to reach the right products that they are looking for" said, Tae-Sung Kim. "Buyers will also spend less time to search products and be able to expect to get more accurate match results", he noted.
The website has also added a new featured page called, "Idea Products", offering the latest gadgets containing fun and cool features posted on EC21. The current listed products are randomly selected by EC21; however, suppliers are now able to apply one of their posted products. If selected, it will be listed up to one month for free.
"We expect more attention and traffic to come this year" said, Tae-Sung Kim, "By making these changes in our B2B platform, we hope that we will be able to better serve our existing customers and give more business opportunities and capabilities to both sellers and buyers", he added.
