Newland Europe BV officially open for business
Mr. Hugang of Newland Group and Mr. Peter Sliedrecht of Newland Europe
On Wednesday the 4th of March 2009, chairman of the board of Newland Science and Technology Group Mr. Hugang officially opened the Newland Europe office.
Mr. Hugang says: "This new venture in Europe is a further move in the globalization of the Newland Group. Our local presence in the European market will further strengthening our sales, marketing and services in the region. With this strong link to Europe, Newland Group is expecting to grow at a faster pace and achieve its growth targets. Newland is very happy to have had the opportunity to start with such a professional and experienced team in Europe. We are certain that our European office will accomplish great things.”
Mr. Peter Sliedrecht, CEO of Newland Europe BV and Newland Taiwan Co. Ltd. is delighted: “We have worked very hard to get the business up-and-running in the last few months. Both the Chinese and European team have done an amazing job in setting up such a professional organization in so little time.”
Newland Europe is developer and producer of various Auto-ID solutions and part of the Newland Science & Technology Group. Being one of the first to master the core technology of 2D imaging, Newland has managed to create 2D barcode reading equipment and applications which are leading in the market today. Newland products are made for several market sectors such as retail, office automation, logistics and manufacturing.
Newland products can be categorized into 3 groups:
- Barcode scanners: Newland offers 1D –and 2D hand held -and fixed barcode scanners for retail –and logistical/light-industrial applications.
- Portable Data Collectors: From simple to high-end stock control solutions with integrated 1D, 2D and/or RFID scanners.
- POS solutions: Various (mobile) POS –and payment terminals and in-store solutions such as electronic price verifiers / checkers.
