Polaris Networks takes its involvement with Public Safety to the next level at the PSCR Next-Generation Deployable Network Summit

Boulder, Colorado, October 25, 2017- Mr. Vinay Gupta (CTO) and Mr. Ameet Dhillon (Director of Business Development) – represented Polaris Networks at the recently held PSCR Next-Generation Network Summit. Polaris has been working extensively with PSCR and other similar agencies in the Public Safety sector for the last four years.
The Summit addressed gap areas affecting deployable systems, dynamic coverage of existing network and intermittent backhaul, description of how deployable network solutions could address multiple gaps and value addition to Public Safety through a common deployable test environment. A brainstorming session on experiments that could be performed in a deployable test environment was also included during the two-day event.
Polaris Networks has been working as a PSCR partner under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) since 2013. Presently, Polaris offers test platforms as well as system-on-wheels deployable solutions that cater to Public Safety Networks.
The FNN Tester from Polaris helps test and verify the functions and performance of the core network and application servers, while implementing the interfaces and features specified in Rel.12 and Rel.13 specifications from 3GPP and other relevant standards related to Public Safety.
The NetEPC–PS, a comprehensive LTE core network solution developed for first responder networks by Polaris, is used in unmanned aerial or water borne vehicles and helps achieve improved situational awareness, while meeting the security requirements essential for a public safety application. This solution can also be deployed co-resident with an eNodeB when a backhaul link is not available or is unreliable.
