New well for TridonicAtco connection technology

Press release from: TridonicAtco GbmH & Co KG

„Due to the fact that the former well has almost silted we have taken this decision after thorough revision“, says Michael Stadler, maintenance manager of TridonicAtco connection technology. The well is built by Firma Conrad Brunnenbau with state-of-the-art technology.

Currently, the ground-water is mainly needed for the cooling of the injection moulding machines which are used for the production of housing parts of electrotechnical products. In the near future TridonicAtco connection technology plans to cool the production with ground-water. Without cooling, the temperature is at approx. 38°C in the direct working area.

From an ecological and cost perspective, this measure is highly worthwile. The climatisation with electrical energy and the conversion to town water would would incur substantial energy and cost expenditure. By means of the new ground-water well a closed water circulation for the plastics processing can be achieved with heat recovery for the heating of the warehouse. „Ecolution“, a concept developed by TridonicAtco Dornbirn which includes environmental protection and energy saving, is also a big issue in Innsbruck.

The many layers of Bella Asmara
Asmara, the capital of Eritrea, is a much admired time capsule reflecting the Italian "dolce vita" of the 1930s. The postcolonial context of this cultural gem has now been documented in a project funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF. Asmara, the capital of the young state of Eritrea,
