Abstract:
In 2015, the value of heating equipment production in the U.S. amounted to $4.5B, going down by -2.3% against the previous year level. Overall, the U.S. heating equipment output pursued a mild decline from 2007 to 2015. The total output figures decreased at an average annual rate of -1.1%. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2011, when the output figure increased by +8% from the previous year level. Over the period under review, the total value of heating equipment shipments in the United States attained its maximum level of $4.9B in 2008. Afterwards, the growth in terms of the heating equipment production failed to regain its strength through to 2015.

Other heating equipment, excluding industrial types (including parts for nonelectric heating equipment and oil burners) accounted for the highest share (37% in 2015) of U.S. heating equipment manufacturing, leaving a considerable room for domestic heating stoves (excluding electric and parts) (21%). The other related products with less notable individual shares together comprised approx. 42% of the total output.
