medavis on the Road to Success World-Wide
The radiology software specialist bucks the trend and keeps on expanding; increased revenues, strong acquisition of new customers and new jobs.Karlsruhe, 23 February 2009 – medavis GmbH, leading provider of radiology information systems, is reflecting on a successful business year in 2008. With a growth in customer turnover of 40 percent, the company from Karlsruhe, Germany continues on its course of expansion, even in the current financial crisis. medavis considers itself in an excellent position to face the current financial year.
“We have been experiencing strong demand for our tried and tested solutions, which ensure an efficient workflow in radiology” reports Jörg Dittrich, Managing Director of medavis GmbH. Over 200 radiological institutions, from practices to university clinics now count amongst the medavis users. The software house from Karlsruhe has been able to win renowned customers, for example, the ultra modern Mueller-Wohlfahrt Centre for Orthopaedics and Sport Medicine in Munich. Dr. Hans Mueller-Wohlfahrt is well known worldwide as the team physician of the German national soccer league.
Increased international commitment
In recent years, the radiology software specialist has intensified its commitment to the international market and built up an international network of partners. This enabled new customers to be won in a further eight different countries in 2008 alone, including clinics in Scandinavia, Southeast Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Creating new jobs
Contrary to the global recession, medavis GmbH considerably increased its workforce in all departments during 2008 and now employs over 60 members of staff. “The investment in development and qualified staff is paying off. From our customer’s point of view, our many years of experience and the exceptional expertise of our team of software developers and radiology experts, speak especially in our favour”, said Managing Director Jörg Dittrich.
