Press release from: Eviant

/ PR Agency: Antarra Communications
La Verne, CA – January 5, 2008 – Eviant™, Inc., a designer and marketer of stylish portable and home entertainment products, has announced the hiring of Jerry Galya as its Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Galya will be responsible for the consumer electronic company’s introductory sales thrust into the market place. The company will be debuting its initial lineup of products at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (South Hall 2-25553). Mr. Galya will assume his new position beginning January 1, 2008.

“Eviant is fortunate to have a person with Mr. Galya’s record of success join us in this key position,” stated Andy Frankel, Business Development and Operations VP. “His knowledge of consumer products and how to market them will be instrumental in Eviant getting off on solid footing.”

Mr. Galya comes to Eviant after serving for two years as North America Vice President of Sales and Marketing for KNG America, an industry-leading consumer products company marketing items such as lamps, clocks, phones, and toothbrushes for properties including Disney, Harley-Davidson and others. During his tenure, sales doubled and by signing key rep groups, he helped create the broadest distribution of accounts in the history of KNG.

He began his career at KNG in 2000 as National Accounts Manager. During this time, he personally opened key accounts such as Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and others. The result was a 150% increase in business.

“It has been a long-held dream of mine to take on the challenge of coming into a position on the ground floor,” Mr. Galya said. “Eviant has a solid product lineup in the works to provide consumers with the products that they are looking for at an affordable price. I am confident we will have a positive impact in the industry.”

Immediately prior to KNG America, Mr. Galya worked in key sales and management positions for Applica, Inc., the holding company for Black & Decker and Windmere-branded consumer products. He also held sales positions with Emerson Radio Corporation and with the Memorex tape and accessory division of Tandy Corporation.

He attended and graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree, majoring in marketing.

Switch to Digital TV
Among Eviant’s initial product line will be digital portable televisions, a response to the upcoming switch from analog signal to digital. Beginning February 17, 2009, the analog portable and small television sets that consumers have enjoyed for decades will cease operation unless they are hooked up to a bulky digital TV converter box.

This will cause problems anywhere space is limited as well as force people to carry a digital TV tuner along with the set. In many cases, the converter boxes are larger than the TV itself, defeating their portable, take-anywhere nature.

The innovative and affordable Eviant digital portable television lineup eliminates that problem. Every model picks up free digital channels with no need for additional hardware or subscription services. Or if a consumer wishes, he or she can hook it up to an existing subscription service.

Eviant at 2009 International CES
Eviant will be introducing its new line of affordable, high-tech portable and home entertainment products at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).The show takes place January 8-11 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. Eviant products will be showcased in South Hall 2 at Booth 25553. Visit the booth and experience firsthand the next generation of home entertainment products.
