KUKA palletizing robots are a big hit
KR 40 PA makes 1st place in A&D readers' pollAugsburg/Germany, January 2006 – The KR 40 PA is KUKA's Newcomer of the Year 2005. The new palletizing robot stands out from the crowd thanks to its short cycle times, flexibility and ease of operation. These features make the KR 40 PA the most interesting product of the past twelve months – at least according to the readers of the magazine A&D.
In its “Best Product Guide 2005”, the A&D magazine presented once again those products which its readers had found most interesting during the course of the year. Readers could then vote by e-mail, choosing from among ten different products in each of nine categories. The preliminary selection was made by the magazine on the basis of the hit count in the first four weeks after publication for each of the product reports on its online platform.
The KUKA palletizing robot KR 40 PA made it to 1st place in the category “Robotics & Handling”. The latest palletizing robot thus continues the tradition established by its successful “relatives”, following in the footsteps of other award-winning KUKA robots. The KR 180 PA, for example, received the “red dot award” for its design in 2002. Moreover, it was also honored by the renowned designer Konstantin Cricic for its stylish, classic design in the magazine GQ (Gentlemen's Quarterly). In the April 2005 edition it could thus be seen posing alongside models, fast cars and other men's topics.
