Cellular rubber is a porous rubber consisting of all-round closed cells. They are manufactured in accordance with the expansion process using gas-developing agents. In automotive industry cellular rubber is used in spacers, die-cuttings, load supports, sealing strips, seals, rattle protection, filters and distance pads.Nitrile rubber is suitable for applications in carburetor and fuel pump diaphragms, seals, aircraft hoses, and gaskets, owing to its properties such as excellent resistance to chemicals and oils and high durability. Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) is used in processes that involve strong acids, ozone, greases, oils, fats and hydrocarbons. EPDM has excellent resistance to gas permeability and aging arising through steam exposure.

Silicone cellular rubber is used in environmental seals for protection against penetration of dust, air, moisture, or light within outdoor additions such as HVAC units, lighting fixtures, and electronic cabinets.
