Students Talk Up Poop To Sustain Energy
The Tradional Approach To Waste
Del Valle High School Debate students are talking up poop this fall so they can create a climate in which the public changes their concept on human waste.
Del Valle is a suburb of Austin, Texas. With the troubles of a downtown in the economy, high reliance on foreign oil, and mere matter of national security in the balance, we must change our attitudes toward “human waste” now. The students of Del Valle are talking up human waste to do exactly that thing.
Michael Cunningham, DVHS debate teacher, explained, "Our students are learning that because of our views toward human waste we are not using a perfectly good option for alternative fuel- human waste. That is more than a shame. It may end up being a national security system."
