Houchen Bindery Ltd, of Utica NE has installed a Standard Horizon BQ470 4 clamp Perfect Binding machine, equipped with PUR adhesive capability.Houchen Bindery Ltd. specializes in short run length hard and soft cover edition
binding for printers and publishers throughout the Midwest and beyond. Established in 1935, the company has been a long term member of the Library Binding Institute (LBI), and is one of a very few remaining certified Library Binders of it's type in the USA. Houchen has a 40,000 square foot facility with over 50 full time employees.
PUR Adhesive ( Poly Urethane Reactive) is well known to be the strongest adhesive on the market, providing up to 70% better pull strength than tradional hot melt adhesives, As of this posting, Houchen Bindery is the first company to offer PUR binding capabilities in house in the state of Nebraska.
