Menaul Fine Art Gallery featuring ?Aqua Ring? by abstract artist Scott Menaul

Clearwater, FL -- Clearwater, one of the world’s top destinations for refreshing, beautiful island beaches, is now providing another refreshing and unique vision in the new Menaul Fine Art Gallery. Innovative and uplifting canvas giclées by abstract artist, Scott Menaul will be featured at the opening on December 1st at 1750 Hercules Ave. The gallery also functions as the Menaul’s, international headquarters housing Scott’s studio, production offices, and a conference room where interior designers are invited to bring clients for working meetings.

Menaul has spent 12 years creating his medium using 3-D modeling, illustration and photo enhancement tools to produce his fresh, captivating abstract art. Menaul, who spent 25 years as a technical writer, graphic designer and photographer says, “I was never quite satisfied with the results of my medium, feeling more could be achieved with it. So I experimented and developed more techniques until I achieved the results you now see. And I continue to push the envelope with my tools to create the art of the future today.”

The common theme in his artwork is that each piece contains crystal geometric objects (in virtual space) that reflect and refract light and the environment around them. The objects take on color and reflect the images of the nearby forms. The final artwork is then printed with archival inks as fine art multiple original giclées on canvas or paper. The canvas giclées are typically limited to editions of 250.

The canvas giclées are very rich and colorful and the artwork invites participation from the viewer. The play of light and depth of color are so compelling that most viewers are unable to restrain themselves from reaching out and touching the canvas. This is so prevalent in fact, that samples have been made and are handed out for viewers to touch so that the originals are preserved.

“I love color, patterns and form that when combined together, seem to take on a life of their own. One of the greatest benefits of working with this medium is the ability to change the color palette, print size and proportions at will,” explains artist Scott Menaul. “A designer or art buyer can send me color swatches, color system numbers, print sizes, different proportions, etc. and I can customize the artwork to fit the client’s needs.”

Another service Menaul can provide is the ability to take a photograph from the client of their home or corporate facility and insert the artwork into it to create a virtual preview of how the artwork will look before it is purchased and installed.

Menaul Fine Art has been accepted to join the 2008 "Palm Art Award" sponsored by Art Domain Gallery in Leipzig, Germany. Winners of the competition will be selected at the end of this year. Menaul has received the Award of Excellence given by the Estero Fine Art Show in April of this year, and Award of Merit from the 43rd Annual Art Harvest in Dunedin, Florida.

So, whether planning a trip to Clearwater, or one is fortunate enough to live there, put a visit to the Menaul Fine Art Gallery on the list of things to do – it’s really a must see. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. with evening and weekend showings available by appointment. For those unable to stop by in person, a virtual tour is available at www.menaul-art.com
