First German Escrow of Moenchengladbach, Germany, and Chaperon LLC of Louisville, Coloroda, USA, this week announced a partnership to provide customers with a complete, secure online service for source code inspection and intellectual property escrow services. The service includes Chaperon’s Secure Source Code Inspecting Station and FGE’s intellectual property protection for software developers (licensors) and business continuity assurance for licensees by placing a verified copy of source code into an escrow account.
This will allow the licensor of a software to review confidential intellectual property documents and software source code using a secure environment and internet connection. Under specific conditions described in an escrow agreement the licensee is able to access the source code, thus mantaining mission critical applications, without harming the intellectual property rights of the licensor. This gives everybody considerable peace of mind.
