Celtic Bank Hires Jim Harris as Regional Vice President/Business Development Officer

Celtic Bank recently announced that it has hired Jim Harris as regional vice president/SBA business development for Central and Northern California. “We’re excited to grow within the California market, it is an appropriate next step,” said Reese Howell, Jr. chief executive officer of Celtic Bank.

A graduate of California State University, Sacramento, Mr. Harris’ background in financial services management began as a stockbroker in the mid 1980s, moved to retail bank management in 1989, and since 1997 has focused on providing financing to small businesses. Mr. Howell mentions, “Jim brings a wealth of experience to Celtic Bank, and we feel confident in the job he’ll do.”

Harris’ primary function is to develop SBA and USDA lending in Central and Northern California, though Jim has the authority to pursue commercial real estate opportunities nationally. Harris states that his primary goal is to “help Celtic Bank become the leading provider of SBA and USDA loans from Bakersfield to the Oregon border.
