AlpenAdvent at the Ferry Porsche Congress Center

AlpenAdvent at the Ferry Porsche Congress Center

On 5th and 6th December 2008 Advent times are making their entrance in the noble ambience of the Ferry Porsche Congress Center: after the major success of last year's event, the Salzburger AlpenAdvent returns to the convention building in the heart of Zell. The Advent gala on Friday night is marked by classic Christmas carols. Besides the young tenor Ricardo Marinello there is the boys' choir from Bad Tölz that offers the audience an unforgettable musical experience. On Saturday the music school of Zell is taking the stage. At the traditional nativity play of Pinzgau the up-and-coming little stars are reviving the Christmas story in a lavish production.

Just like last year, the young talents of the music school will enthral their audience with the wide range of their theatrical and musical skills and abilities. A cast of more than 60 people have worked with endeavour to make this evening an unforgettable event. It is no coincidence that the nativity play has been an integral part of Advent times in the Alpine region. Visitors can look forward to listening to the wind ensemble and the choir of the music school as well as to the performance of a string and a clarinet ensemble.

The boys' choir from Bad Tölz, well-known from TV and film productions, are performing their show 'Alpine Christmas' including some of the most beautiful songs of this time of the year. Every single one of the young protagonists is a true virtuoso. Their large repertoire covers simple pastoral songs as well as folk melodies from the Alpine region. The interplay of so many amazing talents gives a very special allure to the Christmas carols. The audience of this unique event is in for a special experience which will get them in the right mood for the peaceful weeks preceding Christmas.

The young tenor with the illustrious name Ricardo Marinello was able to win over the jury of the German TV programme 'Das Supertalent'. Now his vibrant voice will not fail to cast a spell on the visitors of the Salzburger AlpenAdvent event. Marinello feels a rapport with the grand signori of the Italian opera. His interpretation of 'Hail Mary' will be the ultimate highlight of his guest performance. But of course his repertoire includes modern songs like 'It's Christmas Time', too.

If you love watching traditional nativity plays, listening to original melodies from the Alpine region and the rising stars of opera, you cannot afford to miss this event. Don't hesitate! Tickets are available online at http://www.salzburgeralpenadvent.at or from the guest service of Zell am See-Kaprun.
