Twin Translations’ Judy Jenner Elected Board Member of Nevada Interpreters and Translators Association (NITA)

Las Vegas, NV (October 15, 2008) Judy Jenner of Las Vegas-based Twin Translations, a boutique translation business owned by two seasoned language professionals, joins the board of directors of the recently formed Nevada Interpreters and Translators Association (NITA). “I am honored to be part of such a dynamic group that is bound to shape the future of the translation and interpretation industry in the Nevada,” said Judy Jenner, Principal of Twin Translations. She will serve as Co-director of the PR Committee and share responsibilities with her northern Nevada counterpart, Rossana Bertrani-Roach, who works out of Reno, where NITA is headquartered.

NITA was formed in early 2008, and the organization’s goals include raising the profile and visibility of the translation and interpretation profession and elevating the quality and availability of language services in Nevada. NITA invites translators and interpreters in Nevada – from all backgrounds and in all language combinations – to join the organization and participate in shaping this young association’s future. Students studying towards a career in this industry are also most welcome. Tracy Young, NITA’s president, is very pleased with the progress the organization has made in such a short period. “We have come a long way in the last year, and we are very excited to develop NITA into a powerful organization that helps to solidify translation and interpretation as specialized professional services in our state,” she said. NITA’s membership has grown dramatically in the last few months, and is expected to continue increasing statewide.

Twin Translations specializes in legal, technical, financial and e-commerce translations as well as original marketing texts in English, Spanish, and German.
Its owners are Judy and Dagy Jenner, identical twins who were born in Austria and grew up in a trilingual household in Mexico City. With multiple college and graduate degrees from institutions on both continents between them, and work experience in four countries, Twin Translations’ owners have the language knowledge, educational background, and real-life work experience to convey their clients’ messages accurately and effectively. “It is a privilege to represent NITA in Las Vegas and southern Nevada, and I look forward to helping our young organization achieve its goals, including the one of growth to include top language professionals in our state,” said Judy Jenner.
