Seymour, CT/ Oct 7 /Basement Systems Inc/: Innovation drives growth and expansion in a down economy. October 20th at 4p.m. Innovative local company announces an opening ceremony for a new facility in addition to their existing one in the Silvermine Industrial Park in Seymour, CT. This fifty-nine thousand square foot facility is owned and operated by Basement Systems Inc, the largest network of basement waterproofing, basement finishing, & crawl space repair contractors in the world. Anticipated attendance will include Lt. Governor Michael Fedele, Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell, Better Business Bureau President Paulette Hotton, and First Selectman Robert J. Koskelowski of Seymour. Expansion and growth is rare in this slow economy, so much excitement is surrounding the event as it marks a milestone for the second largest employer in the town.

Basement Systems Inc has been busy over the past year. The annual 2008 Convention, held here in Connecticut this August drew nearly 700 people from 6 countries. The growing company introduced three new divisions, Total Basement Finishing, to convert basements into livable space in the home; Foundation SupportWorks, to repair buckling or sinking foundations, and Relia-Serve to provide management consultation & business coaching to small businesses in the contracting industry. The company now has five divisions, but believes it is only scratching the surface of its growth potential.
