ruhlamat launched the fastest GSM personalization machine world wide
Marksuhl, September 2008 – ruhlamat a leading manufacturer of smart card and passport processing solutions has launched the fastest GSM personalization machine on the international market. After intensive research and considering the requirements of the GSM card manufacturer, ruhlamat developed a machine solution for personalization of GSM cards which breaks all international records.
The MS350-2 GSM is one part of the MS350-2 family which configuration is chosen for the high volume GSM card production. It is used for personalization of chip modules, card body and application of an optional “scratch of batch”, while guaranteeing the correct card sequence in the output station.
While developing this machine, the focus of ruhlamat was to ensure modular flexibility, robustness, high-quality processing and the lowest costs per card benefit to the customer.
Up to eighty encoding heads in one compact station, the MS350-2 GSM will personalize eighty chip modules simultaneously with a minimum of moving parts. The ruhlamat® patented system also ensures the correct sequence of cards and its correct reproduction if needed. The number of contact stations can be selected based on current needs and easily upgraded at a later time. Two state-of-the-art laser systems engrave the GSM card including barcode in 0.5 seconds.
“With the in-house laser software solution, ruhlamat optimized the activation of the fibre lasers and shows once again its excellent know-how and ability to respond with innovative solutions”, Thomas Mack, CEO of ruhlamat, said.
Using a practical production example, a throughput of 6000 cards per hour is achieved at a chip encoding time of 40 seconds per card. With this result, ruhlamat® developed the fastest machine solution for personalization of GSM cards.
Another record was achieved in constructing this unique processing solution. Turning ideas into reality within a few months was only possible thanks to their devoted staff.
Several systems have already been installed in the world-market.
At the Cartes 2008 in Paris, ruhlamat is presenting its MS350-2 GSM personalization machine.
