Mark Kelley Plays Live For Racing Fans At High Plains Speedway
Mark Kelley continues his summer concert rampage at the High Plains Speedway at 1701 CR-G in Clovis, New Mexico, Sunday, September 21, 2008, behind Ned Houk Motor Sports Park. Starting at 8:00 pm Mark Kelley will perform live on stage instead of tearing it up behind the wheel in the infamous Blues Farm Records' Dodge Neon he usually races. The show will be in the pit with songs from the self-titled debut album, as well as songs from next year's album already in the works.Blues Farm Records' artist Mark Kelley, widely known for his high octane country music has recently been featured on local Clovis and Portales radio station KCLV 99.1 FM with his hit What A Beautiful Night and in on air interviews and performances. Clovis residents last spotted Kelley with fellow BFR artist Sansietch on North Prince Street high up on a platform at North Pointe Auto. The pair caused quite a stir for passers by and have promised to repeat the open air show again on September 27, 2008.
Mark Kelley released his debut CD on Blues Farm Records earlier this year, and with the accumulation of crowd pleasing shows the album has become a local favorite. The CD is available on his website, http://markkelley.webs.com, as well as the label website, http://bluesfarm.webs.com. Mark will perform over an hour of his original material.
There is a motocross swap meet during the day and a 200 lap Enduro car and late model race starting at 5:30 pm, after which Kelley will go on to wrap up a day of great family fun. The event dubbed Race Fest 2008 is sponsored by Schwan's who have shown up with a truck full of ice cream at several Kelley shows this summer.
BFR is an Indie Record label specializing in blues, rock and country music that comes from or is inspired by the southwest.
