Carlo Ranucci joins leading producer of BOPP film as GM Europe
- Detlef Busch to head strategic focus on technological leadership

Frankfurt, 20 February 2006

The Treofan Group, one of the world´s leading producers of high performance polypropylene film (BOPP) for a broad array of packaging and technical applications, and the largest producer in Europe, announces today the appointment of Carlo Ranucci as General Manager Europe and as a member of Treofan´s Management Committee. He will have operational responsibility, including for the Supply Chain, for Treofan´s five production sites in Italy, Belgium and Germany and for the sales and marketing functions of the Packaging, Tobacco, Label, Cast Film and Technical Film business units of Treofan in Europe.

Carlo Ranucci, 57 years old, previously served as General Manager Europe at Exxon Mobil, where he spent the past 28 years of his career as a highly regarded BOPP industry leader with extensive management experience in operations, sales and marketing, and research and development. "I have respected Treofan, and its predecessor companies, for many years as a strong competitor and European market leader, and I hope to contribute to its ongoing successful turnaround as Treofan now enters its growth phase."

Treofan Group also announces that Detlef Busch, 57, previously Chief Operations Officer, will assume the newly created post of Chief Technology Officer, continuing to serve on Treofan´s five member Management Committee. In this role, he will have global responsibility for Treofan´s process and product technology research and development, patent and licensing activities, and capital project management.
