Food Safety and "Biological Hazards"
The responsibles for food safety will meet at the 3rd “KALS (Karlsruher Lebensmittelsymposium)” in march 2009.The organization commitee recently published the curiously awaited topic for the popular german symposium: "Biological hazards".
The two day meeting will summarize the state of science for allergens, phytotoxins, parasites and others. The referees will be selected experts able of presenting their topics in an understandable way. The meeting informs executives, their HACCP-Teams or quality managers about upcoming themes and helps them to deal with the informations in practice.
President of the symposium is Prof. Klaus-Dieter Jany, who was just elected as president of the new CEF-panel of EFSA. The advisory board of the meeting includes Prof. Emmerich Berghofer, who is the vice-chairman of the Austrian association for nourishment (ÖGE), Udo Pollmer, the president of the European Institut for nutrition and foodscience (Eu.L.E.) and Dr. Boris Riemer, who joins the committee on legal affairs of the BLL.
Enough time for profitable discussions, the attendand exhibition “Practical solutions for food safety” and a vespertine Get-together make a the annual event a MUST for the food industry, retailers and authorities.
