Sting! XXIV: Rites of Spring…. An Evening of Art, Music

On Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 from 6:30PM - 8:30PM, The Beehive's co-owner and resident curator Jennifer Epstein and guest curator Ian Marcus Corbin of Matter & Light Fine Art are pleased to present the 24th installment in The Beehive's continuing art series entitled “Rites of Spring: Rebirth in Color and Form.” This multi-artist exhibition features vibrantly colored, sensuous abstract paintings that recall the vital, explosive energies of spring.

Ian Marcus Corbin is the co-owner and director of Matter & Light, located at 63 Thayer Street in SoWa, Boston’s art & design district. Matter & Light represents contemporary artists from around the world whose work is united by the exploration of profound spiritual questions in the medium of raw, visceral materiality. These works aim to leave the viewer with clearer eyes and a deeper appreciation for the strange, beautiful tensions of the human condition. For more information visit www.matterlightfineart.com.

The Beehive's ongoing Sting! series always signifies the launch of a new art installation at The Beehive. The opening of each exhibition highlights the many facets of The Beehive concept bringing together great live entertainment, delicious food & libation specials along with amazing art!

The Beehive Sting! Series:
The Beehive Sting! Series is an on-going art series that presents the diversity of art now. The goal is to find work of the moment that is engaging, challenging and exciting, providing viewers with a broad exposure to contemporary art and providing artists a chance to get outside of the white box. Unlike a gallery or museum, The Beehive is not limited by the confines of an aesthetic agenda and can select a variety of innovative work.

The Beehive is an underground Bohemian bistro featuring amazing cuisine, libations, artwork and live music nightly. Nestled below the Boston Center for the Art’s historic Cyclorama in Boston’s South End, The Beehive serves the eclectic fare of Chef Gregory Torrech, rustic comfort foods infused with American, European, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern influences.
