Portalmar Unveils Luxury Beachfront Residences, Marina

PORTOBELO, Panama - October 2026 - Portalmar, a new luxury beachfront development on Panama's Caribbean coast, has opened sales for a limited collection of residences in Portobelo, Colón - a UNESCO World Heritage area about 45 minutes from Tocumen International Airport and roughly one hour from Panama City via the new Corredor del Caribe highway.

Developed by CM+ Development and Project Management, Portalmar comprises eight models of 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom residences and rooftop penthouses ranging from 144 m2 to 334 m2, with open-concept layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows and terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Prices start at US$540,000.

Beyond the homes, Portalmar is planned as a full resort community: a private full-service marina for sport and luxury yachts, a boutique hotel, infinity pools, a wellness center, beachfront dining, water sports and a private island reserved for residents.

The project is positioned for international buyers. Panama's official currency is the U.S. dollar, eliminating exchange-rate risk, and foreign buyers enjoy the same ownership rights as Panamanian citizens, holding full titled property in their own name. Panama also offers well-established residency-by-investment programs, and a qualifying real-estate purchase can open a path to residency. Portalmar sits outside the Caribbean hurricane belt and enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round.

"The first time we visited the area years ago, we knew that a great project could be developed in this unique landscape," said Carlos Meana, Founder and CEO of CM+ Development and Project Management. "As developers, we are very proud that Portalmar is now becoming a reality."

Pricing, floor plans and an investment overview are available on request through the project's website.
