Self-serve bottle shot generator Outshinery Lite launches free label prep tool for wineries

VANCOUVER, BC, October 19, 2026. Outshinery has launched Label Prep, a free browser tool for Outshinery Lite, its self-serve bottle shot generator. Wineries drop in a label file, including the print sheet that comes back from the printer, and download the transparent PNG they upload when they order a Lite bottle shot, with paper, die lines and crop marks removed in one click.

The tool opens PDF, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PNG and JPG files. It can erase a printed element such as a vintage or a medal, add foil, emboss, deboss and varnish accents that look convincing on a website and retail listings, and preview where the label sits on the chosen Lite bottle, giving the height, width, distance from the bottom and rotation the order form asks for. A settings PDF lets the next label in a range land in the same place.

"Ask a winery for its label and you usually get the printer's proof, crop marks, die lines and all," said Laurie Millotte, Founder of Outshinery. "Until now one of our designers cut each one out by hand. Now the winery does it on the spot, in their own browser, and the file never leaves their computer."

Lite renders exactly the file it is given, so paper edges or a die line left in a label file show up on the bottle. Until now, a winery without a clean file sent it to the Outshinery team and received the prepared PNG by email within 2 business days. That free service stays in place for layered files the tool cannot sort out. Label Prep needs no account and no order, and the label file is never uploaded: the tool runs entirely on the user's computer. Lite bottle shots are $29 per image, delivered in under an hour.
