Beyond the Grave Wins "Most Inspirational Movie Award" at Christian Online Film Festival

True Vine Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry dedicated to creating inspiring and impactful films, today announced that Beyond the Grave - Death Defeated by Love has received the Most Inspirational Movie Award at the September 2026 Christian Online Film Festival (COLFF).
Written and directed by Kamen Kuntchef, the 35-minute narrative short explores faith, love, forgiveness and redemption through the story of a young woman trapped in an abusive relationship while coping with her father's serious illness. As the pressures in her life intensify, she begins questioning the meaning of life and discovers hope in the midst of pain.
The film took four years to complete as production faced delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic and Kuntchef's battle with thyroid cancer. At times, he questioned whether the project would ever be finished.
"Thank you to the Christian Online Film Festival for this recognition and for selecting Beyond the Grave - Death Defeated by Love," said Kuntchef, the film's director and executive producer. "I am truly honored and grateful. This film was created to reach people who are hurting, questioning or searching for hope and to remind them that, even in our darkest moments, God is still present and love can overcome pain. I am deeply thankful to everyone who helped bring this project to life and to everyone who continues to support and share it."
COLFF is a monthly online festival that recognizes Christian films, documentaries, scripts, music and other creative works. According to the festival, it has previously ranked among FilmFreeway's top 100 festivals out of more than 6,000.
This is the third festival honor for Beyond the Grave - Death Defeated by Love, following Official Selections at the International Christian Film and Music Festival and the Hollywood North International Film Festival, both in 2025.
True Vine Ministries is currently expanding the film's distribution and working to make it available in five languages, extending its message of faith and hope to audiences around the world.

Kuntchef's previous film, Coronado - Tagged for Life, tells the true story of a Chicago artist whose life was transformed through faith. The documentary is available through streaming platforms and in-person screenings. Churches and community organizations are invited to contact True Vine Ministries to request a free screening.
