US Actors Adds VIP Profile for Larry Thomas

PHOENIX, Arizona - September 28, 2026 - USActors.com has added a VIP profile for Larry Thomas, the Brooklyn-born actor nominated for a Primetime Emmy for Yev Kassem-the Soup Nazi-on Seinfeld. USActors.com allows actors to list their profiles at no charge. Thomas's VIP page puts a single iconic guest role, a long independent-film résumé, and decades of personal appearances in front of casting directors who search the directory for projects nationwide.

Laurence Tomashoff was born in 1956 in Brooklyn to a Jewish family of Russian and Romanian background. After his parents divorced he moved to California with his mother and sister at 11 and attended Hebrew school after hours. He was a journalism major when he followed a classmate into an acting course and stayed. Early work included a singing-telegram messenger on CBS's Ladies' Man (1981) and the feature Terror on Tour (1980). He studied with Jeffrey Tambor. Between gigs he worked as a bail bondsman and court investigator.

In 1995, the morning after a Power Rangers audition that did not book, Marc Hirschfeld called him in for Seinfeld. Thomas did not know the part was based on a real soup vendor. He studied Omar Sharif's accent in Lawrence of Arabia, wore a military uniform to the reading, and improvised "No soup for you!" He booked Yev Kassem in "The Soup Nazi" (November 2, 1995) and returned for the series finale. He paid the Emmy application fee himself and was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series in 1996.

Other television includes Kirk, Grace Under Fire, Arliss, Caroline in the City, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Drake & Josh, Scrubs (as himself, with the cast trying to bait the catchphrase), Arrested Development, Threshold, and Hot Properties. Features include a cameo opposite Mike Myers in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997), Surface to Air, Uwe Boll's Postal (2007), Changing Hands, Mind Over Mindy, 108 Stitches, Redemption: For Robbing the Dead, Honest to God, and Angel with a Gun (2024). Public listings show on the order of 80 acting credits plus director and writer work. He toured in the female Odd Couple with Barbara Eden, Allyce Beasley, and Georgia Engel-work he has called a career highlight. He wrote Confessions of a Soup Nazi, with a foreword by Jason Alexander, keeps convention and food-truck appearances, and has a son, Benjamin.

That mix-Emmy-nominated sitcom guest star, studio comedy bit, independent features, and a character audiences still quote-is what a VIP profile is for. Thomas's USActors.com page points productions to Seinfeld, Austin Powers, Scrubs, and a performer who can still walk into a room as that voice. Casting directors can treat the listing as one more search result when a project needs that recognition in any U.S. market.

Thomas continues to act and appear for fans. Productions can review his VIP listing at https://usactors.com/listing/larry-thomas/.

USActors.com is a nationwide actor directory built for productions that have to cast beyond one city and one inner circle. Performers list profiles at no charge-photos, reels, credits, union status, physical specs, home market, travel range, and skills a breakdown actually names. Casting directors, producers, and filmmakers search that roster by state, metro, age, look, experience, and role type, then contact the actor from the public page. The same tool covers a local day-player and a project that shoots in several markets. Named actors may be added as VIP profiles so a longer career is easier to find in that search. The site does not represent talent, negotiate deals, or take a commission. It is a casting instrument: free for the actor to stay listed, open for a production anywhere in the United States to use when it needs to find people. https://usactors.com
