AEROPOSTAL LAUNCHS NEW NON STOP SERVICE TO MEDELLIN
Aeropostal will start a new non stop service connecting Caracas to Medellín, Colombia as off April 3rd. This new service will increase Aeropostal’s international routes in order to provide a fast access to the business community from both countries and to the Andean region.“Medellín is a very important Colombian industrial center, and after conducting an extensive research, we in Aeropostal concluded that we had to fly there in order to provide our business community a non-stop service between Caracas and Medellín, instead of expending valuable time in Bogotá for a transfer”, said Aeropostal’s CEO, Nelson Rámiz.
Rámiz pointed out that the Antoquia department, which its capital is Medellín, holds 12% of all the Colombian population and provides 15% of the country’s GNP. Many of Colombia’s main industries, such as power generation, banana, coffee, textile and is the main gold producer in the Andean region. In the other hand, there is a very important presence of companies from Medellín conducting business in Venezuela.
“For us was a logical initiative to start this non-stop service next April 3”, said Rámiz. “Since a long time ago many of our business passenger were asking for this service, and in Aeropostal we heard the message loud and clear”
This new route will have a daily schedule from Monday to Sunday. The outbound flight from Caracas will leave a 6:00 p.m. arriving in Medellín at 7:10 p.m. (excluding Saturdays) This flight from Medellin will depart at 8:00 a.m. arriving in Caracas at 11:10 a.m. (excluding Sundays)
