How Can Businesses Use Blockchain Today?
A US company recently spent around $25 million on technology whose whole job is proving a product was actually made in America. That figure comes straight from an SEC Form 8-K filed by Made in USA Inc. on June 26, 2026, so this is a documented business decision. And it indicates to us where blockchain has landed. The normal focus still chase moves like the xrp price (https://www.binance.com/en/price/xrp), but the companies putting real money to work are chasing something more permanent: proof, speed and better records.
Let's walk through current and successful business uses, grouped into three simple ideas.
Proof You Can't Fake
The strongest business use of blockchain is verification. When you make a record that no one can go back and edit, you create trust that's cheap to check and hard to argue with.
That's exactly what Made in USA Inc. is building. According to its SEC filing, the platform anchors authenticity records and cryptographic checksums on the XRP Ledger while keeping sensitive company data private. The XRP Ledger's role is expanding well beyond payments, into product authenticity across American supply chains.
It's a hybrid really: private information stays private, and only the proof goes public. That single choice is why cautious, established businesses feel comfortable using a public ledger at all.
Supply-chain teams already lean on this thinking. The XRP Ledger's own learning resources note that companies use it for real-time settlement across global supply chains, cutting the delays that used to pile up between partners.
So if verification proves what something is, the next question businesses ask is how to prove what something is worth.
When a Stock Becomes Software
Tokenization sounds complicated, but the idea is easy to understand. You take a real asset (a stock, a fund, a bond) and give it a better filing system, one built for the internet rather than for paperwork.
Last October, more than 100 tokenized US stocks and ETFs went live on BNB Chain through Ondo Global Markets, reaching its base of 3.4 million daily active users. Ondo alone had tokenized roughly $1.8 billion in assets since 2021, according to RWA.xyz (https://RWA.xyz) data cited at the time.
BNB Chain has pointed to an industry projection that real-world asset tokenization could reach $600 billion in assets under management by 2030.
What makes it particularly appealing for smaller companies is access. Binance's BNB Chain rolled out a no-code tokenization service with built-in compliance tools, so a business can represent assets on-chain without hiring a team of engineers first. That opens the door to firms that could never have justified the cost before.
It's a little ironic. The least glamorous word in technology, recordkeeping, is where blockchain really benefits. Faster records are always worth having. Faster money though, is where businesses feel the difference straight away.
Money That Moves at Internet Speed
Cross-border payments are the clearest win, and the easiest to measure. When you send money between countries, two things usually hurt: the wait and the cost of parking cash in advance to cover the transfer.
Blockchain trims both. An August 2025 analysis of Ripple's On-Demand Liquidity data found XRP settling cross-border transactions in three to five seconds at a cost of around $0.0002 each. The same analysis reported that On-Demand Liquidity cut pre-funding costs by roughly 70% for institutions. That echoes Ripple's earliest pilots, where Finextra reported FX savings of 40 to 70% back in 2018.
Real adoption is easier to see. Binance's 2025 year-in-review reported Binance Pay being accepted across more than 20 million merchants, with over-the-counter fiat trading up 210% year over year. Those are the kinds of numbers that only move when actual businesses and customers are using the rails.
Binance CEO Richard Teng discussed this in August 2025:
'My vision is for blockchain and crypto to become as normal and everyday as the internet is today. In the future, we will not call it Bitcoin; it is just money.'
Which leaves us with an interesting thought. If money can cross an ocean for a fraction of a cent and clear before you've finished your coffee, what excuse does slow, expensive settlement still have?
Before we wrap, here are the five uses we discussed:
Product authenticity and anti-counterfeit verification on the XRP Ledger
Tokenized US stocks and ETFs brought on-chain
Real-world asset tokenization, including no-code tools for smaller firms
Cross-border business payments with near-instant settlement
Real-time settlement across global supply chains
The Useful Part Was the Point
Look across all five, and one thread ties them together: blockchain makes trust cheaper to produce. Verifying a product, representing a stock, moving money abroad; each one removes friction that businesses put up with for decades.
That's a closer story than the one we usually hear. Companies aren't wagering on a token. They're using a tool to solve problems they've had for years (https://www.openpr.com/news/80429/connecticut-better-business-bureau-issues-warning-about-census-related-fraud.html).
Binance's 2025 annual report caught the mood well, noting that US attention has moved from purely conceptual narratives toward blockchain applications backed by real assets and cash flow. That's the sign 2026 will likely conclude as a working year.
The best technology tends to disappear into the background once it does its job. So when blockchain becomes as unremarkable as the internet, will we even remember to call it blockchain?

XRP (XRP) Price Prediction: PEPENODE Rises as XRP Stalls
XRP's recent price action shows clear signs of stagnation as market attention shifts toward high-beta presales.
