Vincent Slegers Celebrates His Debut Album with a Live Recording at Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg
On September 18, 2026, Belgian musician Vincent Slegers will be a guest at the legendary Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg. With his distinctive blend of dark Americana and authentic roots music, he will present a solo concert of great atmospheric depth and haunting intensity.Accompanied by his trusty 1932 National Dobro and making sparing use of effects, Vincent Slegers creates a sparse, haunting soundscape in which darkness, vulnerability, and hope are all audible at once. His songs are deeply rooted in the tradition of authentic roots music and derive their special evocative power precisely from their minimalist nature.
A central source of inspiration for Vincent Slegers was the song "Dark Was the Night, Cold Was the Ground" by Blind Willie Johnson--a listening experience that marked the starting point of a long musical journey that continues to this day. This journey took him across Europe and shaped an artistic style that combines historical depth with immediate personal expressiveness.
For Vincent Slegers, music is not merely a means of expression, but an inner, existential force. His concerts thrive on this sense of urgency as well as on a minimalist stage presence that lends each note special weight.
The concert at Bauer Studios also marks Vincent Slegers' recording debut--a special moment in an extraordinary setting.
The recording takes place in front of a live audience in a fully analog control room, directly onto a stereo analog master--direct-to-analog 2-track. The resulting masters form the basis for a record release using the half-speed mastering process.
Bauer Studios in Ludwigsburg is among Germany's most sonically rich recording venues. Originally a converted movie theater, it combines a studio atmosphere with space for an audience and boasts a long history of international recordings featuring artists such as Keith Jarrett, Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Chick Corea, Giora Feidman, and Yehudi Menuhin.
Since seating is limited to a maximum of approximately 80, early ticket reservations are recommended. Tickets are available directly from Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg.
