Investigation Launched After The Bullski Crypto Presale Clone Raises Industry Questions

LONDON - A cryptocurrency project called Bullski ($BULLSKI) allegedly cloned the identity of another established presale, IceBull (www.icebull.com), and has now become the focus of a crypto investigation after community members began reporting website outages, missing dashboard purchases and technical inconsistencies that prompted blockchain researchers to take a closer look.

Bullski, appeared online earlier this year with a polished Web3 website, cryptocurrency wallet integration and an active online community. At first glance, the project appeared to be a legitimate standalone presale. However, investigators later concluded that Bullski ($BULLSKI) closely mirrored an earlier project, IceBull (www.icebull.com), reproducing much of its branding, website layout, roadmap presentation, tokenomics graphics and broader user experience.

The similarities became the catalyst for a wider investigation that ultimately shifted attention away from the website itself and toward the blockchain.

Community Reports Spark Investigation

Questions surrounding Bullski first emerged after members of its community reported problems accessing the website and viewing presale purchases.

Several users stated that successful blockchain transactions had been completed but corresponding allocations did not appear within their account dashboards. Others reported intermittent website availability before the platform eventually became inaccessible.

While technical outages are not uncommon within the cryptocurrency industry, investigators noted that the complaints appeared alongside a growing number of unrelated concerns, prompting a broader review of the project's publicly available information.

"The individual reports did not immediately indicate a wider issue," one blockchain analyst involved in the case study said. "What changed was the consistency of the questions being asked by different users over a relatively short period."

Blockchain Review Raises New Questions

Investigators then compared Bullski's published tokenomics with information recorded on-chain.

Bullski ($BULLSKI) publicly advertised a supply of 120 billion $BULLSKI tokens, according to its promotional material. Blockchain analysis, however, appeared to show that wallets associated with the contract deployer retained control of approximately 360 billion $BULLSKI tokens.

Researchers stressed that large deployer holdings are not automatically unusual and may represent treasury allocations, liquidity reserves or future ecosystem funding.

"The important point is transparency," the analyst said. "If publicly promoted tokenomics and observable blockchain data appear difficult to reconcile, investors deserve clear explanations before committing funds."

Domain Timeline Examined

The investigation also reviewed publicly available domain registration information.

According to the study, IceBull's website (www.icebull.com) had existed for several years before Bullski appeared using a newly registered domain carrying remarkably similar branding and presentation.

Domain age alone was not treated as evidence of wrongdoing.

Instead, investigators considered it one element within a broader collection of observations that included website similarities, blockchain analysis and user reports.

Infrastructure Problems Add to Concerns

As community questions increased, investigators also documented repeated website availability issues.

Independent testing recorded intermittent access failures, with sessions eventually returning SSL-related errors while content delivery infrastructure remained operational.

Technical specialists involved in the investigation cautioned that infrastructure problems occur regularly across legitimate online services and should never be viewed in isolation.

Nevertheless, they noted that repeated outages occurring alongside unresolved community concerns increased the importance of verifying information independently rather than relying solely on the project's website.

Following the Transaction Trail

Blockchain analysts subsequently examined transaction flows associated with the crypto presale.

According to the investigation, cryptocurrency transfers appeared to pass through multiple intermediary wallets before entering infrastructure designed to reduce transaction transparency.

Researchers emphasised that privacy-enhancing technologies and complex transaction routing have many legitimate applications within digital asset markets.

However, they noted that increasingly complex payment paths can make forensic analysis significantly more challenging when investors later attempt to reconstruct where funds travelled.

A Wider Lesson for Investors

Professional websites, polished branding and functioning Web3 interfaces are no longer reliable indicators of legitimacy on their own.

Instead, experts recommend that investors independently verify project domains, review smart contract data, compare published tokenomics with blockchain records, examine deployer wallet concentrations and read complete audit reports before participating in any presale.

"The biggest mistake investors make is assuming that a professional website means a professional project," the analyst said. "In reality, websites can be reproduced remarkably quickly. Independent verification remains one of the strongest forms of investor protection."

The investigation concludes that while no single technical observation should ever determine an investment decision, careful due diligence across multiple independent sources remains essential as cryptocurrency clone operations become increasingly sophisticated.
