ROBBINSVILLE, NJ - August 17, 2026 - Kiran Agrahara, long-time local civic leader, technology Leader, and Vice Chairman of the Robbinsville Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC), has officially announced his candidacy for the Robbinsville Township Council in the upcoming municipal election on November 3rd, 2026, offering a persistent and fresh voice for the community.

Agrahara brings over 30 years of enterprise technology leadership, real estate expertise, and deep community service to his run for municipal office. As a seasoned Technology Advisor with a background advising Wall Street financial institutions and consulting for the Federal Reserve Bank on large-scale infrastructure projects, Agrahara's career has been defined by fiscal responsibility, strategic execution, and delivering cost-saving initiatives.

In a strong demonstration of his dedication to the community's youth, Agrahara announced a key commitment: if elected, he will donate 100% of his Town Council salary directly back into the community to support Robbinsville public schools' sports teams and club activities.

"Our schools and youth programs are non-negotiable, and recent funding cuts have put unacceptable pressure on our students and families," stated Agrahara. "Every single dollar counts when it comes to our kids' futures. That is why I am taking direct action by pledging 100% of my town council salary straight back into our schools to protect sports, clubs, and enrichment activities for every student in Robbinsville."

Expanded Commitment to Community & Civic Service

Agrahara's dedication to public service extends across multiple local, military, and humanitarian efforts:

Honorary Commander Appointment: Demonstrating his continued passion for civic collaboration, Agrahara was recently appointed as an Honorary Commander at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, serving as a vital civilian bridge between local leadership and military operations.
Economic Leadership: As Vice Chairman of the Economic Development Advisory Committee, Agrahara helped launch impactful initiatives such as Robbinsville's Quarterly Business Breakfasts and the upcoming Robbinsville Restaurant Week to boost economic vitality.
Public Safety & Governance: A graduate of the Robbinsville Township Police Department Adult Citizen Academy, Agrahara has consistently advocated for public safety, smart zoning, and sustainable land use.
Grassroots Community Engagement: Having knocked on thousands of doors and held countless direct conversations with constituents on their doorsteps during previous campaign efforts. Agrahara's vision centers on participatory governance, fiscal efficiency, and protecting local taxpayers.
Charitable Impact: Over the years, Agrahara has raised over $15,000 for MS research through the Bike MS City to Shore ride, provided annual scholarships to Robbinsville High School seniors, and spearheaded local and international humanitarian relief drives.
Core Vision for Robbinsville

If elected to the Township Council, Agrahara's platform will focus on:

Fiscal Stewardship & Transparency: Bringing rigorous analysis to town budgets to maximize every taxpayer dollar, while identifying and implementing strategic PILOT projects to ensure long-term fiscal responsibility.
School Board & District Support: Partnering closely with the school board to advocate for state and federal grants, explore shared municipal services, and relieve financial pressures on local families.
Sustainable & Balanced Growth: Protecting open space, enhancing infrastructure, and supporting local business expansion.

"Robbinsville is a vibrant town with incredible potential," Agrahara added. "I look forward to earning the trust and support of my neighbors this November to build a fiscally responsible, inclusive, and forward-looking township.
