A Special Honor for Kita Digital: District Administrator Names Sebastian Goetz "Wine Ambassador" for 2026

At a festive reception in the Fussgoenheim Palace Gardens last Friday evening, Sebastian Goetz, developer of AI solutions for daycare centers and founder of the company Kita Digital, received a very special honor: District Administrator Volker Knoerr officially named him the 2026 Wine Ambassador of the Rhine-Palatinate District. The honor underscores the growing societal value of technological innovations in the field of early childhood education.

The District Administrator awards this title annually to individuals who have achieved exceptional accomplishments or rendered outstanding service to the district. This year's appointment was made specifically in recognition of the development of AI tools for early childhood education, which are designed to free up valuable time for early childhood educators in daycare centers through intelligent automation.

Appreciation for distinguished guests and dedicated young talent. The award ceremony took place before a large audience, in the presence of the Palatinate Wine Queen and numerous prominent political figures. "It is a great honor for me to accept this award from District Administrator Volker Knoerr and in the presence of the Wine Queen, representatives of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Ministry, as well as members of the Bundestag and the District Council," emphasized the 36-year-old from Schifferstadt. It was also particularly important to the new Wine Ambassador to thank those working behind the scenes: "A huge compliment and my deepest thanks go to the trainees of the Rhine-Palatinate District. They made this wonderful evening in the castle gardens possible with tremendous dedication and the highest level of professionalism."

Focus on culture and tradition: The sponsorship is closely linked to Palatinate culture and refers to the Regent Vineyard in Kleinniedesheim, which is tended and cultivated by the Merkel organic winery. In addition to ceremonial duties, such as the traditional rose planting with the Palatinate Wine Queen in the spring and the grape harvest in September, Goetz received a strictly limited-edition magnum bottle (number 1 of 40) of the 2025 Regent as a symbol.
