Schifferstadt / Munich, July 7, 2026. At this year's Kita Innovation Days in Munich, industry experts engaged in in-depth discussions about the future of early childhood education. Right in the thick of it: Sebastian Goetz, founder of _Kita Digital_, who made a clear case on the panel against global cloud services and digital documentation bureaucracy, and who, during the panel discussion on the topic "Humans and AI: Opportunities and Challenges for Education and Society," he called for a tangible reduction in the workload of early childhood educators.

"Digitalization projects in daycare centers usually fail when technology is conceived purely from the top down by administration rather than from the ground up," Goetz emphasized to the large audience of industry professionals. If new software simply means that professionals have to manage additional passwords, software updates, and Excel spreadsheets in their already stressful daily routines, it does not provide relief but rather creates a new administrative burden. Understandably, this causes motivation within the teams to plummet to near zero.

The solution: an invisible assistant based on anti-bias principles. Instead, technology must feel like an invisible assistant that frees up valuable time for educational work with the child. As a concrete solution, the Schifferstadt-based entrepreneur presented the early childhood education model "EleMo," which he developed, to the expert audience. The specialized AI was specifically fine-tuned to meet the criteria of bias-conscious pedagogy: The model is optimized to operate according to anti-bias principles and to be sensitive to diversity.

EleMo helps educators turn brief, unstructured pedagogical observations into professionally sound educational documentation or developmental reports in a matter of seconds. On average, educators today spend 30 to 50 minutes per child writing such reports, mostly because they are faced with the proverbial "blank page."

The privacy-friendly moat: 100% local and offline. Goetz places particular importance on moving away from global cloud services toward digital sovereignty: The AI system runs decentrally and entirely offline on local hardware directly within the institutions to consistently meet the strict data protection requirements of the GDPR. Thanks to the enormous time savings in report generation, the looming threat of deskilling (the loss of educators' own pedagogical judgment to algorithms) is to be transformed in practice into qualitative upskilling through targeted, assisted reflection.

The high level of interest from the professional audience and from funding organizations immediately following the event clearly demonstrated just how pressing the issues of data security and tangible relief are in today's early childhood education landscape. Goetz successfully used the platform in Munich for in-depth professional discussions to inform providers about the decentralized infrastructure and to secure important new clients even at this early stage.

Strong media presence, a reference book, and regional roots. Goetz is also exploring in depth how to strike a balance between technological innovation and uncompromising data protection in the day-to-day reality of early childhood education in his next major project: The publication of his practical reference book on the use of AI in daycare centers is scheduled for next year by the renowned Kohlhammer Verlag.

An upcoming regional highlight--which underscores the widespread media attention the founder is receiving--also demonstrates that forward-looking technological innovation and a deep connection to one's home region can form a powerful symbiosis: Sebastian Goetz has been officially named the 2026 Wine Ambassador for the Rhine-Palatinate District. The festive ceremony will take place on August 14, 2026, in the historic setting of the Fussgoenheim Castle Gardens and will serve as an excellent platform for the startup to bring together decision-makers from politics, associations, and municipal agencies.
