Rare Titanic artefacts go on display in London for the first time at Olympia
Image: https://www.globalnewslines.com/uploads/2026/07/1785141918.jpgLondon, UK - 27 July, 2026 - One of the most significant collections of authentic Titanic artefacts ever assembled has arrived in London. Opening at Olympia for a limited engagement until 16 August, the UK's largest Titanic exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to experience hundreds of genuine objects that reveal the human stories behind the world's most famous ship.
A remarkable collection of authentic Titanic artefacts has gone on public display in London for the first time, as White Star Heritage opens the UK's largest Titanic exhibition at Olympia.
Running for a limited season until 16 August, the exhibition brings together hundreds of original objects that tell the complete story of the world's most famous ship-from her construction and luxurious interiors to the tragic sinking and the discovery of the wreck more than 70 years later.
Among the highlights is one of only a handful of surviving Titanic deckchairs, recovered by the cable ship Minia amongst the floating wreckage and bodies in the days following the disaster. Visitors can also see what is believed to be the largest surviving section of the Titanic's Aft Grand Staircase, the only surviving piece of the ship's teak decking recovered from the wreck site, and the only intact wooden door known to survive from the ship's galley.
Personal items provide an intimate glimpse into life on board before the disaster. They include a letter written during the voyage by the assistant to White Star Line chairman J. Bruce Ismay, a postcard in which a passenger enthusiastically describes the ship's famous swimming pool as a "big bath", and an original weighing ticket from the luxurious Turkish Bath.
Every artefact tells a unique story. Together, they reveal the scale, elegance, innovation and ultimately the tragedy of Titanic in a way that no replica or reconstruction alone ever could.
Also appearing throughout the exhibition is renowned deep-sea explorer Dik Barton, the first British man to dive to the Titanic wreck. Having completed 22 expeditions to the ship, Barton delivers daily talks, sharing first-hand accounts of exploring one of the world's most famous archaeological sites and revealing what the wreck looks like today more than a century after the sinking.
Tom Rudderham, Director of White Star Heritage, said:
"Every object in this exhibition has survived against extraordinary odds. These are not reproductions-they are genuine pieces of history that connect visitors directly with the people who built, sailed and travelled aboard Titanic. We want people to leave with a much deeper understanding of the ship, the lives she touched and why her story continues to captivate the world more than a century later."
Members of the media are invited to arrange preview visits, interviews and photography by contacting press@whitestarheritage.com [mailto:press@whitestarheritage.com]. Selected artefacts may also be made available for supervised photography and filming by prior arrangement.
The exhibition is now open at Olympia London and runs until 16 August. With visitor numbers limited and remaining availability becoming increasingly restricted, advance booking is recommended.
Tickets are available at www.titanic.london [http://www.titanic.london/].
