HyperVerse reviews and news remain important for former members who lost access to funds after the cryptocurrency investment platform collapsed. HyperVerse was one of several names connected to a global operation that also used HyperFund, HyperCapital, HyperTech and HyperNation.

The platform promoted membership packages that supposedly generated substantial daily returns through cryptocurrency mining and other blockchain activities. According to U.S. authorities, however, the operation had no legitimate source of revenue sufficient to support the advertised payments.

HyperVerse is no longer simply the subject of negative online reviews. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has filed civil fraud charges, the Department of Justice has brought criminal cases, and two prominent participants have entered guilty pleas.

What Was HyperVerse?
HyperVerse was marketed as a cryptocurrency membership and rewards platform. Members purchased packages using digital assets and were shown daily rewards inside an online account.

Promotional presentations claimed that members could earn between 0.5% and 1% each day until receiving two or three times their original payment. The platform said these returns were supported by large-scale cryptocurrency mining and other profitable business activities.

Members were also encouraged to bring new participants into the program. Promoters received additional rewards based on recruitment and the activity of their networks. This multi-level structure helped HyperVerse spread through online webinars, social-media presentations and local investment groups.

HyperFund was rebranded as HyperVerse in late 2021. The platform's promotional launch introduced a supposed chief executive named Steven Reece Lewis. The SEC later alleged that the project had hired an actor to portray this fictional executive.

Why Did HyperVerse Collapse?
HyperFund reportedly began restricting withdrawals by at least July 2021. By 2022, members were increasingly unable to convert their internal rewards into transferable cryptocurrency.

The SEC alleges that HyperFund had no genuine revenue source apart from money collected through new membership sales. It further claims that earlier withdrawals were funded using deposits from later participants-one of the central features of a Ponzi structure.

The SEC charged founder Xue Lee, also known as Sam Lee, and leading promoter Brenda Chunga in January 2024. According to the agency, the scheme raised more than $1.7 billion from investors worldwide. The Department of Justice's criminal case estimates that approximately $1.89 billion was collected.

Latest HyperVerse News
The Department of Justice charged Sam Lee with conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud. The accusation remains an allegation, and Lee is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

Brenda Chunga, also known as Bitcoin Beautee, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit securities fraud and wire fraud. Her sentencing hearing, previously scheduled for June 2026, was moved to January 7, 2027.

Another prominent promoter, Rodney "Bitcoin Rodney" Burton, pleaded guilty on June 15, 2026, to conspiracy to operate an unlicensed money-transmitting business. Burton admitted that he helped promote the program and facilitated cryptocurrency payments connected to membership purchases.

The Department of Justice maintains a dedicated HyperFund case page containing court updates and information for victims. The page also provides a Victim Impact Statement form and official contact details for the DOJ Victim Witness Unit.

What HyperVerse Members Reported
Many HyperVerse complaints followed a similar pattern. Members said their account dashboards continued to display rewards even after withdrawals became unavailable. Some were told that temporary technical problems, compliance reviews, platform upgrades or token migrations were responsible for the restrictions.

Other members reported being encouraged to purchase additional packages or recruit more people despite the withdrawal problems. When a platform continues displaying profits that cannot be withdrawn, the dashboard balance should not be treated as evidence that real assets are being held.

Internal units, points or account balances are not necessarily cryptocurrencies recorded on a public blockchain. The traceable transaction is usually the Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT or another asset originally transferred into the program.

How to Trace Lost HyperVerse Funds
The tracing process should begin with the original payment rather than the balance displayed inside the HyperVerse dashboard. Locate the wallet or exchange used to purchase the membership and download its complete transaction history.

Record the transaction hash, sending address, recipient address, cryptocurrency, network, amount and date for each payment. A transaction hash is the unique blockchain identifier that proves a transfer occurred.

Enter the hash into the appropriate blockchain explorer. Bitcoin payments can be reviewed through a Bitcoin explorer, Ethereum transactions through Etherscan and TRON-based USDT transfers through Tronscan. Confirm that the displayed recipient address matches the address supplied by HyperVerse or its promoter.

Follow every outgoing transaction from the recipient wallet. Assets may pass through several intermediate addresses before reaching a centralized exchange, swapping service or cross-chain bridge. Record each step without assuming that every connected address belongs to the same person.

When funds arrive at a centralized exchange, victims should contact its compliance department. Provide the transaction trail, original payment receipt and relevant communications. The exchange may hold customer-identification records connected to the destination account, although these records generally require an official legal or law-enforcement request.

Document Payments Made Through a Promoter
Some members did not send cryptocurrency directly to a HyperVerse platform address. Instead, they paid a local promoter through a bank transfer, cash payment or personal crypto wallet.

In these cases, preserve bank statements, wallet receipts and messages identifying the promoter. Record the promoter's name, telephone number, social-media account, referral link and membership username.

A recruiter may claim that payments were forwarded to HyperVerse, but the blockchain trail should be examined to determine where the cryptocurrency actually moved. Do not rely only on a screenshot provided by the person who received the payment.

Preserve HyperVerse Evidence
Save all available account records before websites, applications or chat groups disappear. Important evidence includes membership receipts, transaction confirmations, account identifiers, referral details and screenshots showing the balance or rejected withdrawal.

Preserve complete WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook and email conversations. Save promotional presentations containing statements about guaranteed daily returns, mining operations or withdrawal availability.

Create a timeline explaining when the investment was introduced, who promoted it, how much was transferred and when withdrawal difficulties began. This makes the evidence easier for investigators to review.

Where HyperVerse Victims Can Report
The SEC has established an official email address for people affected by the alleged scheme: HyperFundVictims@sec.gov. Victims may also follow updates through the Department of Justice's HyperFund case page.

The DOJ allows qualifying victims to submit a Victim Impact Statement describing their financial and personal harm. It lists Victimassistance.fraud@usdoj.gov and a toll-free assistance line on its official case page.

Reports may also be submitted to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center, the Federal Trade Commission and local law-enforcement authorities. People outside the United States should contact their national cybercrime agency and financial regulator.

Beware of HyperVerse Follow-Up Fraud
Former HyperVerse members may be contacted by people claiming to represent a government agency, liquidator, tracing company or law firm. These individuals may already know the victim's name, payment amount or membership details because information can circulate between fraudulent networks.

HyperVerse was part of a group of related platforms that U.S. authorities allege operated as a global cryptocurrency pyramid and Ponzi scheme. The SEC says more than $1.7 billion was raised, while the DOJ places the alleged amount at approximately $1.89 billion.

The latest proceedings include guilty pleas from Brenda Chunga and Rodney Burton, while the case involving Sam Lee remains pending. Former members should preserve their records, identify every original cryptocurrency payment, trace the relevant wallet activity and submit the evidence through the official SEC and DOJ channels. Tracing cannot guarantee a particular financial result, but it can establish where payments moved and provide useful evidence for the continuing legal proceedings.
