Hyderabad Gears Up for The Monsoon Run 2026

Hyderabad, July 21, 2026: After the resounding success of the Hyderabad City Slam Summer Run, Hyderabad's running community is now preparing for the much-awaited Hyderabad City Slam - Monsoon Run, scheduled for 16 August 2026 in the HITEC City area. The event has already crossed 1,400 registrations, reflecting the growing enthusiasm for the city's first structured year-long running series.

Organized by The High Five Tribe, the Hyderabad City Slam is India's first progressive city-based running challenge, encouraging participants to build endurance through three milestone races-a 10K Summer Run, the 16.1K (10 Miles) Monsoon Run, and a 21.1K Half Marathon in the Winter Edition. Runners who complete all three stages earn the coveted Hyderabad City Slam Finisher recognition, promoting long-term fitness over one-off participation.

The Monsoon Run offers race categories for 5K Fun Run, 10K Timed Run, and 16.1K Timed Run (Open & Pro), making it accessible to both first-time runners and experienced athletes. The 16.1K category serves as the official Slam qualifier for this stage of the series.

Designed around community participation, the event will feature professionally timed races, hydration stations, medical support, experienced pacers, volunteer support, and a festive race-day atmosphere. Participants will run through the HITEC City corridor, one of Hyderabad's fastest-growing business districts, showcasing the city's evolving identity as a destination for endurance sports.

Building on the momentum of the Summer Run, organizers have also been engaging the community through training runs, educational webinars featuring accomplished runners, and collaborations with fitness brands and corporate organizations. The aim is to make running more inclusive while encouraging people of all fitness levels to embrace an active lifestyle.

Adding to the excitement, the Hyderabad City Slam has partnered with some of the country's leading fitness and lifestyle brands that are coming together to support the city's growing running movement. Partners include 42KM, Klerv, Fast&Up, Decathlon, Third Wave Coffee, Akshayakalpa, Provilac, Orange Owl, Sealy, and BAV Electric, among several others. These collaborations aim to enhance the participant experience through nutrition, recovery, apparel, wellness and lifestyle activations.

Beyond promoting fitness, the Hyderabad Monsoon Run is also running for a cause. A part of the proceeds from the event will support the Mallikamba Institute, Warangal, an organisation dedicated to the care, education and rehabilitation of medically, physically and mentally challenged children. Through this initiative, participants will contribute towards making a meaningful social impact while pursuing their fitness goals.
