Hyderabad City Slam Debuts to Massive Success

Hyderabad, May 24, 2026 - The Hyderabad City Slam officially commenced on May 24, 2026, with the inaugural Hyderabad Summer Run drawing nearly 2,000 participants across on-ground and virtual categories. Organized by The High Five Tribe, the Summer Run marked the first chapter of the three-event running series, which will continue with the Hyderabad Monsoon Run in August and culminate with the Hyderabad Winter Run half marathon in January.

Held at Jal Vihar, Hyderabad, the event featured 5K and 10K race categories, along with virtual participation options that enabled runners from different locations to be part of the experience. The event also included age-category competitions in both 5K and 10K open formats, while the 10K Pro category offered cash prizes for competitive runners.

Widely appreciated for its race-day experience, route support, volunteer management, hydration stations, entertainment zones, and overall event execution, the Hyderabad Summer Run received enthusiastic feedback from participants across categories.

Many runners praised the event's organization, energy, and attention to detail, with Santosh Mallareddi, a very popular Hybrid Athlete and Founder @pantherpack.run, remarking:

The Hyderabad Summer Run marks the beginning of the Hyderabad Three-Run City Slam, a unique running series designed to celebrate the city's diverse running seasons.

The upcoming events in the series include:

• Hyderabad Monsoon Run - August 16, 2026 (10 Miles)
• Hyderabad Winter Run - January 31, 2027 (Half Marathon - 21.1 KM)

Together, the Summer, Monsoon, and Winter Runs aim to create one of Hyderabad's most engaging annual running experiences, encouraging fitness, community participation, and year-round running culture.
